Beyond the Gaming Floor

Spa Days and Wellness Amenities for Non-Gambling Guests

When travelling with a partner or family, not everyone in our group wants to spend time on the gaming floor. For guests looking for relaxation, Canadian casino resorts offer a range of spas, hydrotherapy facilities, and fitness rooms. Here is what each resort publishes about its wellness amenities.

Resorts with On-Site Full-Service Spas

Four of the ten casino hotels on our list publish details regarding full-service spa facilities on property or directly adjacent to the lobby.

  • Damara Day Spa at Fallsview Casino Resort (Ontario): Located on the third floor of the complex, Damara Day Spa operates daily from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Published services include facials, body treatments, massages, a Japanese Head Spa, manicures, pedicures, makeup, and waxing. Direct phone contact is published via (905) 371-7772. Note that while Ontario gambling rules require guests to be 19 or older to step onto the casino floor, the spa operates independently on the hotel level.
  • Amerispa at Hilton Lac-Leamy (Québec): Featuring 17 private treatment rooms, Amerispa opens Monday through Thursday at 10:00 AM and Friday through Sunday at 9:00 AM. Spa appointments include access to the resort's year-round indoor and outdoor pools, whirlpools, steam bath, and sauna. In Québec, the legal age for entering the casino floor is 18.
  • Absolute Spa at River Rock Casino Resort (British Columbia): Positioned on level 2 of the resort, Absolute Spa features six private treatment rooms. Operating hours run from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM daily. Menu offerings include Registered Massage Therapy (RMT), facials, body wellness treatments, nails, and brow services. Guests may book by calling (604) 684-2772. The entry age for gaming in British Columbia is 19.
  • Spa Tru Clinics at Cascades Casino Resort Langley (British Columbia): Located directly behind the Coast Hotel lobby (#2A 20393 Fraser Hwy), Spa Tru offers a combination of medical aesthetics and traditional spa services, including facials, peels, dermaplaning, massage, and waxing.

Properties with Refurbished Spas or Limited Published Details

Several major casino hotels feature spa and hydrotherapy facilities but publish fewer details on their official websites or are undergoing recent renovations.

At Casino Rama Resort in Ontario (19+ gaming age), major property refurbishments added a new spa facility on the ground floor, keeping the resort swimming pool on the third floor alongside saunas and steam rooms. However, the resort's main website does not currently publish a detailed online treatment menu or daily appointment schedule.

At Caesars Windsor in Ontario (19+ entry age), hotel fact sheets list access to a fitness area and sauna, but treatment menus and third-party operator details are not detailed on current public web pages. We recommend calling the resort desk directly prior to arrival if you wish to confirm personal care bookings.

Fitness Rooms, Saunas, and Hydrotherapy Access

For non-gambling guests who prefer exercise or thermal relaxation over treatment packages, hotel fitness rooms and pool zones vary across Canada:

  • Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto: Hotel stay amenities include a fitness centre, indoor pool, hot tub, sauna, and steam room. Guests must be 19 or older to book or access adult facilities without a parent.
  • Grey Eagle Resort & Casino (Calgary): While the main swimming pool is closed for 2026–2027 property renovations, the resort maintains an active outdoor hot tub, sauna, and 24-hour fitness room.
  • Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa: The property offers a Body Rock fitness centre for registered hotel guests. It does not operate an indoor pool or full-service day spa.
  • River Cree Resort & Casino (Edmonton area): Offers an indoor swimming pool, hot tub, and fitness centre adjacent to its two ice rinks, with an 18+ age requirement for the gaming floor.

Planning a Non-Gambling Stay: What to Keep in Mind

When booking a casino resort stay primarily for wellness and relaxation, check local age and access policies. Under provincial regulations (19+ in Ontario and British Columbia; 18+ in Alberta and Québec), minors and non-gambling guests cannot enter gaming zones, but hotel floors, spas, and standalone dining venues are separate. Review what minors can and cannot do for exact entry requirements, or consult the non-gaming comparison table to evaluate pool and wellness features across all ten properties side by side.
